Our Pastor

Pastor Carl Garrett, a native of the cattle/farming country of Southwest Oklahoma has pastored churches since his senior year in high school. They ranged in size from membership of less than 50 to more than 2,000. No matter where he served or the size of the church, he never lost the love of his rural background and his love for horses and the cowboy way of life. Boots and a cowboy hat have always been a part of his wardrobe.

Pastor Carl and his wife Frances own 80 acres and, as he often says, "more horses than they need." Frances was born and reared on an Oklahoma farm homestead by her grandfather. Their daughters and granddaughters are involved with horses.

Outpost Cowboy Church is an outgrowth of his dream to join a movement that is becoming one of the most popular church ministries in America, the cowboy church. It seems to be meeting a need felt by many to return to a simpler way of life.
